Postal Museum

Built in the last quarter of the 18th century as a stable on the estate of the Hunyady family in Balatonszemes, the baroque monument has been home to the exhibitions of the Postal Museum since 1962. The permanent exhibition From the Carriage to the Postcar, housed in the former stable building, presents selected pieces from the Postal Museum's vehicle collection to the public. Linked to the history of the building, the exhibition presents the history of postal transport, from the 15th-century wagon to the motor-driven mail car of recent times.
